I Bet You Didn't...

Did you know you can kill a Black Widow Spider by spraying it with a can of hairspray?

And that you can start your office microwave on fire when you try to melt your pat of butter with the foil still on it?

And that you can drive 30 miles one way to the Passport Office on your lunch hour and have no checks left in your checkbook? and then you discover you left your ATM card on your kitchen counter?

Thats what I did today.

P.S. Oh and yesterday, I dropped my NEW cell phone into my cup of coffee while driving.............

Having a tough moment.............

I miss my mom so much right now. I wish I could just pick up the phone and call her.

But I know she can hear me.

The Golden Ticket!!!!!!

March 11th is the day. Mark your Calendar, buy a pinata,
bake a cake....cause those braces are coming off!

Time for corn on the cob, barbq'd ribs and the juiciest steak I can sink my NEW TEETH into.

Oh, to chew again.......................

Thank you, Thank you and Thank you!

Gracias Cashmere Mafia for the wonderful gift basket! You know me too well! From the Coronitas w/lime, the chips & salsa, chocolate and my Ellen magazine you hit a home run! I can always count on you to make me smile!

And Thank You for the beautiful Hydrangea's. You don't know it, but that blue bird has an "extra" special meaning to me!

And all those heart warming cards, so much thought and kindness put into each one. I will treasure these. You have filled my heart.

The last time I used it was.......

Does anyone know where my Passport is? It is amazing to me that I organize people's lives for a living, but I can't even organize my own.

Funny isn't it?

My Beautiful Mom

On the evening of Thursday, February 5th, my mother, passed peacefully surrounded by her four daughters and husband of 54 years. This was sudden and unexpected.

Mom always said she wanted to go first and she got her wish. And just as her favorite Frank Sinatra song says, she did it "My Way".

Hilda Rollins-Coppin 1934 - 2009

Even though our hearts are heavy, my mom's love, and gentle and kind spirit fills us and blankets us with comfort. You were a wonderful Mom, Nana and Wife. You made us the the ladies we are today.

We love you, Mom!

Per her wishes, Mom's ashes will be spread in her hometown of Porthcawl, Wales by my father and her daughters.
